5001 Beltline Rd, Dallas, TX

Ida Claire might sound like a line of fragrances at Macy’s, but it ain’t. It’s a southern inspired restaurant/bar in Dallas, Texas (Central Lunch Zone) that makes their own gin and has chicken and waffles available all day. Luncher say what?? And if you want to win lunch in style they’ve got a converted airstream in the back patio you can sit in.

Immediately upon arrival to this lunch destination, Lunchers will observe birdcages with taxidermied birds hanging from the ceilings - a not so subtle hint that things are a little different here. Of his dishes, Ida Claire’s Chef de cuisine Fitzgerald Dodd said they’ll be "served in an untraditional way with subtle global influences." The Chicken in a Biscuit submitted by Luncher Wondergood is considered one of their signature dishes and definitely one of the most sought after. And apparently their greatness goes beyond the southern savory  - check out this write-up of their famous “vice cake” http://bit.ly/1QqNsho.

And here’s their lunch menu to slobber over: http://bit.ly/1IiWBpq
